A couple weeks ago I participated in a homemade valentine card exchange. First I couldn't figure out what I was going to do, then one name came to mind: MARTHA. A quick search and I found the perfect cards. I decided on the airplane and the locket ones. Supplies: Scissors Paper Marker Tape Glue String or yarn Exacto Knife
I rooted through some scrapbook paper until I found the perfect colours then started cutting using these templates: airplane and locket. You need to cut two pieces of each part, except for the top piece of the locket. I took some thin yarn, cut pieces and taped it to one side of the little cloud hearts and the plane. I did the same thing with the locket and the key. I then put lots and lots of glue and sandwiched the pieces together very carefully. I used the exacto knife to trim any parts that were over hanging, as well as to cut the hole in the locket. I wrote cute little sayings like: "Love is in the air", "You're just plane cool" and "You have the key to my heart" for the locket. It turned out to be a fairly easy project and I loved it for the fact that it cost me nothing!
Adorable! I like the plane and heart clouds card best. Martha Stewart does everything so perfectly. I often steal ideas from her! :)
